Thanksgiving, putting up the Christmas tree, and other fun stuff

(OK these are in reverse chronological order, but close enough...)

Brooklyn playing with play dough, she wanted me to take a picture of everything she made today.

Brooklyn took a picture of her Santa.

Brooklyn modeling the bow I won for her (hooray I won something!!) and her church dress today.

Posing with our BYU attire before the big game on Saturday...

Brooklyn took this one...

Building fancy things with dominos

Showing off our Christmas tree we all decorated on Friday.

Showing off the little tree she decorated (she took this picture all by herself.)

We also went to see the movie "Tangled" on Friday. It was really cute. Brooklyn liked it except when the villian got a little too mean (Brooklyn cried a little :( When Rapunzel and Flynn kissed Brooklyn yelled out "Oh gross they aren't even married yet!" It was funny. I really just want Brooklyn to keep that attitude for about 20 more years...:)

Making a gingerbread house at Grandma Davis' house after our delicious Thanksgiving meal on Thursday.

My sister in law Angie and my cute little niece Taylee (with my brother Blake in the second picture) showing off the house they built.

My sister Emily showing off her gingerbread house and gumdrop nose.

My sister Stephanie and her boyfriend Jason (showing off their house complete with a garage, hot tub, deck, and Christmas lights.)

My sister Julie with Brooklyn

Brooklyn showing off her completed house (and her cute little messy face after eating way too much frosting and candy.)

I love the holidays! I love spending time with family and friends and I just love this time of year! (Minus the bitter cold and driving in the snow of course.) I love that Brooklyn loves absolutely everything about Christmas. It makes it so fun!

Brooklyn's "take a picture of me" day...

Today Brooklyn wanted me to take a picture of her with everything...(and she wanted to take one of me, lately she loves taking my camera and taking pictures...I can't wait until she gets her own camera for Christmas or her b-day, then I don't have to be so worried about her dropping mine...:)

Riding her coaster car...

Taking a picture of mom...

Showing the decorations she made and hung up and the things she choose to paint (she loves painting!)

Showing her new Plum Pudding doll (from Strawberry Shortcake)

Taking a picture of the snowman she painted.

FSA Day at Boondocks

Today we went to Boondocks for FSA (Families Supporting Adoption) day. It was a really good deal but SOOOOO crowded! Brooklyn had fun though, she loves Boondocks.

Brooklyn and mom on the go karts. It was sooooo cold! But Brooklyn just wanted to go faster and faster!

Brooklyn bowling...Every time she would hit pins she would put her arm in the air and shout-yes!

Brooklyn and Dad playing whack-a-mole (AKA whack a Batman villian.)

Playing at Grandma Larsen's that evening while mom got her Young Women's lesson ready...

Brooklyn showing off all of her balloons that she got to take home from Boondocks.

Halloween and other fun

Brooklyn wanted to be Princess Jasmine for Halloween this year.
This is her at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She made her princess headband all by herself. She trick-or-treated for a LONG time in the rain (with mom or dad and some friends), and didn't want to stop even though we found out when she got home that her feet were soaking wet! We also visited Great Grandmas and Grandparents before heading out in our own neighborhood. We had a great Halloween!

Jasmine sitting with Grandma and Grandpa...

Posing for a pic with Julie and Em

Not posing for a pic with Julie

Curtis and I went to a murder mystery dinner a little while ago with our friends Deb and Kirk. It was called Twilit and the Full blooded princess. So you guessed it-Bella and Edward (and Jacob) were in it. Along with some other people (Harry Potter characters and Frankenstein and his bride...) Hermione ended up to be the killer (she killed Bella) and Deb and I even correctly solved the crime!  (and this is definitely very far from my favorite picture of myself but I had to prove that I was there!)

Brooklyn getting wrapped up like a mummy in some TP at grandma's house.

All dressed up for her preschool Halloween party a couple days before Halloween.

Showing off her new tutu and matching hair accessory before dance class.

I have decided to let Brooklyn play on her bounce house in the house...especially now that it is getting colder. It fits, it makes less of a mess than some other toys she gets out, and she gets lots of exercise! (I do take it down when she isn't using it so we can have space in our house though.)

The pumpkins Brooklyn painted for Halloween! She LOVES to paint!

Curtis and I also went to Thriller for the first time this year. I liked some of it but some parts I didn't like so much. It was fun but I got a good deal on the tickets and I don't think I would pay full price to see it.

Also, Brooklyn keeps insisting she is going to marry my friends little boy named Kalen. She plays with him sometimes and goes to preschool with him. She tells everyone she can (preschool teacher, my friends' sister...) Anyway, yesterday Curtis and I went to our Stake Conference adult session and after we picked up Brooklyn she asked where we had gone and I told her to the a church meeting for adults and she said "That's were I will go after I grow up." She thought for a just a second and changed it to "That's where Kalen and I will go after we grow up and get married and have a baby." Wow! She has really got her future planned out!  :)
