Meet the Flinstones...

Brooklyn had fun "driving" the Flinstone's car and driving Garfield around...

Making Aunt Stephanie's hair beautiful

Brooklyn's barbie's fingers got stuck in her dress so Brooklyn thought it looked like she was holding her dress out so she wanted to take a picture...

And then she tried to hold her shirt out just like the barbie was holding her dress. (Grandma Larsen made the dress!)

Brooklyn wanted me to take a pictures of her messy frosting face and rice krispie treat.

Wow

I seriously am surprised each day by how much Brooklyn really listens to. Yesterday Brooklyn wanted to watch home movies on Curtis's computer, but Curtis told they couldn't because his computer was broken, and he said he would send it to the store to have them fix it. Brooklyn replied, "The store isn't alive daddy, it can't fix computers." So Curtis had to add that she was right and it was actually the people who worked at the store that would need to fix it.
Also yesterday Brooklyn got assigned to give the prayer next week in Primary, so Curtis told her he or I could come help her if she wanted. Brooklyn said "Or the Holy Ghost (could help me.)" Wow! She just absorbs so much more than I realize!
She just amazes me. =)

V-day

Curtis sent me a dozen beautiful roses and some yummy chocolates for Valentines day. It was so sweet! We also got to go to the Temple Friday night, and then went on a little date on Saturday night. Today I made mini heart shaped pizza's for dinner.

Tumbling, dancing, and swinging

Practicing tumbling at dance class...

Practicing wearing hankerchiefs on their little heads...

Note-No she isn't wearing her dance clothes due to some "technical difficulties" we had that morning (we were lucky we even made it to dance class before it was over.)
Note 2-I got a new camera for my b-day that has this cool feature where it takes 16 pictures all in a row (with the idea that with kids who don't sit still maybe you will capture the one you want) which is awesome but I need to read the instruction manual to figure out how to upload just one photo...so you get 16 mini's until then. =)

Swinging with a friend (more mini pic's-hooray-I hope everyone has a magnifying glass handy...=)

Before swinging we went to see The Princess and the Frog. Brooklyn liked it, but at the end they were playing some music with the credits and Brooklyn just wanted to stay and dance in the movie theater (she already was dancing) and the little girl who came with us just wanted to leave so that was kind of funny. =)

The Big One

I am 30! =/ (Old!!!)

Some of my family came over to help me celebrate.
(And of course Brooklyn had to help me open presents)

And wear her new PJ's and slippers (whose birthday was this anyway?! =)
Thanks everyone for helping me have a great birthday!

My birthday getaway

For my birthday Curtis surprised me and said he wanted to go to St. George.
Friday we drove down. It is was a pretty good drive, except when we got a ticket from the not very friendly police officer. (In our defense Brooklyn had just told us she needed to go potty, and the speed limit down there switches so much it is hard to keep it straight, but the officer didn't ask us why were speeding or anything like that like they usually do, and I had just told Curtis he probably needed to slow down-a millisecond before we passed the cop...grrrr anyway, that was the least fun part of the trip.)

We checked into our hotel and went to a pizza place to eat.

And swam in the pool a lot (Brooklyn LOVES the pool!)

And she loves being the "teacher" for Curtis and I and showing us how to do things (she was showing Curtis how to kick)

We tried In and Out Burger for the first time, then Curtis watched Brooklyn while I got to shop at the outlets. We went to Chile's for my "Birthday Dinner" because I love their Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta, and the Molten Lava cake.

We even went through Zion's! (None of us have ever been before.) It was so amazingly beautiful!
Brooklyn's favorite thing was throwing rocks in the river.

On our way home-snacks and sleep!
It was a very fun b-day getaway!

Horse, dolls, and dance

Brooklyn riding her bouncy horse with her hula-hoop lasso and chocolate mustache.

Brooklyn loves to line up her Polly Pockets, Princesses and Barbies by or on her toy box...

Using the bar at dance class
Brooklyn loves to dance!
