New swimming pool

Brooklyn's old pool has a hole in the bottom ring so I found this new one for a pretty good price. I was very excited when this one already had a hole in it the first time I took it out of the box. /= I patched it though because I knew right were it was (and because I couldn't return it and get the same one because they were sold out) and Brooklyn really wanted to swim. It did pretty well after that. (Important note-I would rather have the hard plastic pool so I didn't have to worry about holes anymore, but we just don't have anywhere to store it.)

Brooklyn had fun in it! We even got her little boat out and put it in. It didn't have a lot of room to move around but Brooklyn liked lounging in it and trying to use it for a slide and giving the beach ball rides.

And of course we can't forget bouncing on the side of the pool (and trying to squirt mom with the squirt guns.) (=

Monkey Bird

Curtis started singing the "Mocking Bird" lullaby for Brooklyn when we put her bed. I guess Brooklyn isn't very familiar with the word "mocking" so she calls it the "Monkey Bird" song. (= (This was the only Monkey Bird picture I could find that was something Brooklyn would want "Daddy to buy her" the other pictures were a little scary!)

She also is very fascinated with bugs lately. She really likes the rolly polly bugs, so she rolls around all over the couch and says she is a "rolly polly." (= I just love all the cute things she says!

Catch up blog

Finally I can upload pictures again! Time to play catch up! All of these events happened in the past couple weeks...and they aren't necessarily in order, but close enough. (=

Brooklyn having a "Piggynoink" ride to bed. We told her it is called a "Piggy back" and she knows a pig says oink, so at some point she decided to combine the two and she keeps calling them Piggynoink's instead of Piggy Back rides. Her little legs aren't long enough to do a real piggy back yet. I think it is all very cute! (=

Swimming in her swimming pool and squirting her squirt guns.

On Pioneer Day we went to Grandma Davis's for a BBQ and then played in the water. Brooklyn decided chalk was fun to draw with when it is wet...so here is her transformation into a little blue smurf...

Playing in the pool with cousins and Emily at Grandma' s on the 24th...

Running through the fountains at the Gateway with aunt Emily.

We finally got a new car! We love it! (Brooklyn is posing in the new car with Aunt Emily. Pictures with me in them can never be posted until I lose some weight!!!)

Riding the Merry Go Round at Smith's in Syracuse. This one is the best because big kids haven't ruined it yet and it only costs a quarter unlike most rides like it that are 50 cents or more. (=

I can't blog )=

Well actually I can blog, I just can't post pictures, and I just think my blogs would be super boring without any pic's...Something is wrong with our SD card reader. Curtis said there are other ways to upload the pictures, but I am still waiting for him to get that working. In the meantime I will just be sad that I can't blog. )=

Happy Anniversary to us!

Thursday was our 4 year anniversary. Curtis sent me a dozen beautiful roses and some really yummy chocolates. We went to Provo and had dinner down there. We went car shopping the next day. It was wonderful, just like the last 4 years have been! I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man! I love you honey!

WP fireworks

Brooklyn's first "sleepover" at grandma's in her princess sleeping bag.

At the West Point Parade...

Eating her big (messy) popsicle (from the parade!) (=

Emily was in the parade since she is a 9th grade officer next school year! (She is sitting on the corner at the front of the float.)

Brooklyn really liked all the horses!

Watching the parade.

Being silly. (Grandma, Julie, Steph, Brooklyn)

Steph and Brooklyn . (=

We went to the West Point fireworks last night with Grandma and Grandpa Davis and Julie, Steph and Em. Brooklyn really liked them. We had some licorice and Brooklyn heard Grandma say something about the Squito's (Mosquito's) and she thought she was talking about the licorice so all night she kept asking if she could have more Squito's. We just decided to stay overnight at Grandma's since we were there so late for the fireworks and then the West Point parade started pretty early and we always have trouble getting there so this worked out well. Brooklyn slept in her princess sleeping bag for the first time and did very well. I told her about the parade and that people would throw candy to her and she kept saying she was going to go to the parade and throw candy to people. When she talked about the fireworks she kept calling them the humidifier. I finally figured out that was because they both had the word fire in them. (= We had lots of fun!
