March and April

This time just to shake things up a bit I am going to start with the kiddo updates and funny and cute things they have done the past couple months.

Brooklyn told me "My legs hurt like a mermaid tail is going to grow out of them." Love that girl!
Brooklyn had her first Ice Skating lesson. Her main concern was helping everyone who fell down to get back up again. I just love my sweet girl!!
Brooklyn is full of funny things to say lately... Today she told me that when you have a crush on boy you walk around singing to him. It may be possible she has watched one too many Disney movies...
Brooklyn told me that I am really old but at least I don't have lots of wrinkles...
Brooklyn is doing so well in school! She is taking an acting class and is doing so well! She is also doing well in her dance and art and ice skating classes!

Another Brooklyn story...
Brooklyn told me she made friends with a girl the other day because the little girl didn't seem to have many friends. That alone made me happy, but then she told me some boys in her class kept running away from the girl and Brooklyn asked her new friend why they were doing that and her new friend said "I don't know maybe because I look weird." And Brooklyn said she told her she didn't think she looked weird. She told Brooklyn that some kids at her preschool hated her, and Brooklyn told her she didn't hate her at all, and she liked her and wanted to be her friend. It makes me feel so bad that kids already have this negative self-image crap coming at them, but I am so glad Brooklyn chooses to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. :)

Bryson...
He  dumped out an entire bottle of night-time baby wash, and made sure it got all over things, not just the ground, so that you can have to wash a whole bunch of things off and have to figure out a way to get the soap cleaned up off the ground. Hours of "fun." Good clean fun. :/

Bry likes to copy things people say. He is good at giving kisses and hugs. When he poops in his diaper he has just started saying (after I ask if he pooped) "mom pooped", "dad pooped", "Brookie pooped, grandma/grandpa pooped"
Cute and sill. :) He LOVES Polar Express and trains and will watch the show OVER and Over again.
And sometimes, he actually stays in nursery by himself. :)

March!

Bry shoveling and eating (hey however we get rid of the stuff...doesn't matter to me!) the March snow...

Ice skating lessons!

Drawing with chalk...probably an "o"...that is his favorite.

Mowing the driveway...

Look how learned how to operate the teetertotter swing thing!

More shoveling...

Brooklyn at ice skating lessons. She did great and passed her Basic 1 skating class! (And helped the kids who fell down, what a sweetheart!)

Julie got Lasik in March. I drove her. We had fun and now she doesn't need these glasses anymore!

Bry LOVES to swing!

Grandma Davis got Brooklyn this felt doll with a million clothes at a craft fair we went to. Brooklyn had me take pictures of lots of outfits but I will not share the entire fashion show with you, sorry. Just a few selections...

First time pulling out the bounce house this year...

On St. Patrick's Day a (High Tech) Leprechaun left Brooklyn and Bry clues to find a treasure he left them. Curtis helped them with his phone, and they read and figured out all the clues and found the treasure!

We went for a family bike ride...

We rode to the park to play...

Sunday (actual St. Patrick's Day but our Leprechaun came on Saturday) we had green waffles with clouds on them (cool whip and lucky charms!)
 Amd green ice cream!

Brooklyn painting her awesome flower at art class!

I took Brooklyn and Bry to a local park. Bry LOVED this rocking frog and never wanted to get off!

Brooklyn enjoyed riding her bike.

He tried the other rocking animals but they were not as good as the frog.

Brooklyn loved playing on the toys.

So did Bry

Our friends Debbie and Bryant and Trevin invited us to go to the Zoo over Spring break. It was so fun! Thank you!!

Another day...another park... (this time with Brooklyn's friends Mckayla.)

Bry thought putting this bunny popper thing on his face was so fun.

I won a season pass to This is the Place Heritage Park! And this gift basket! So fun! Hooray!

Brooklyn and Bry got haircuts at Cookie Cutters.
