Watching Tarzan at Tuachan
Pictures with the stars
Relaxing at our hotel
In the morning we swam at the hotel and then we left to go camping. We decided to camp while we were down there because Brooklyn has been asking to go camping for a long time and it is too cold to camp at night up here. (She has been counting down the days to our camping trip.) We decided to camp at a place call Quail Creek (although we can't figure out why it is called a creek because it is a lake and there is a big dam right by it...)
After we set up camp, we tried swimming by our camp site, but we soon found out that the sand was more like quick sand, so we cleaned off our feet and Curtis found us a better place to swim.
Waiting in the tent for Curtis to find us a better place to swim
Swimming at the non-quicksand location...
Taking pictures inside a big rock we saw. (Brooklyn choose the poses.)
Eating dinner cooked on the campfire.
Eating breakfast and cleaning up camp in the morning.
On our way home-trying on Dad's hat
We had to stop at the store for a potty break, and Brooklyn just had to ride the ice cream truck...
It was a wonderful vacation!
And, a totally unrelated side note, but I just want to put it on the blog so I don't forget...
Curtis came home from a church meeting and Brooklyn knocked on the bathroom door and said Dad do you know I am out here? And I said yes he knows and she said "Did he hear my cute voice?" And I said yes I bet he heard your cute voice, I just love your cute voice! And she said "maybe you could borrow it!" And she pretended to take out her voice and hand it to me. (She always tells me I can borrow her cute little hands or feet or arms etc.) Super cute! =)
Also, she has been watching a little too much High School musical and is under the impression that everyone that just breaks out in song and dance about everything in life (she wanted us to sing and dance about our vacation like on HSM 2.) Her Barbie play time usually acts out scenes from HSM (complete with songs.) I think we will not be watching that show anymore...at least for a few years when it is more age appropriate. :)
