Dino, the park and funny things
At the park with Grandma and Steph. We pretty much had the park all to ourselves so that was fun!
A little while ago Curtis was putting Brooklyn's bed together and Brooklyn was sitting in her room watching him and said "Dad, do you even know anything about this?"
The first night she slept in her big girl bed I was trying to fix her sheet and blanket and she said "Mom, what are you doing?" I told her I was trying to fix her blankets and she said "I need to go to sleep, OK?" She pretty much just kicked me out of her room, but as soon as I left she went right to sleep! No excuses or stall tactics or anything!
Brooklyn gave her very first talk in primary on May 16. She talked on "Principles and Ordinances of the Gospel Lead me to Jesus Christ." (Hard for a 3 year old!) But she talked about Ordinances and showed them her dress she was blessed in, and a picture of taking the sacrament, being baptized, being confirmed, and getting married in the temple. She said a few words about each picture. She did really well!
After we came home from church that day Brooklyn wanted to play church. She asked me to find her "up" shoes. (Which I found out meant her "high heel" shoes/church shoes...because her primary teacher wears heels so she wants to too.) Then she made a little podium. Then she came and whispered a talk to me. After that we sang songs. She kept saying "the gospel..." in her "lessons" and "songs" and "talks."
Also that same day in sacrament meeting Brooklyn was playing with my watch and ask what the little knob on the side was for and I told her it was change the time on my watch. She was quiet for a minutes and then said "I am going to turn it so church is over!"
Brooklyn is still in to rhyming words and the other day she said "Mom it rhymes- Poo and peek-a-boo!" (How do you respond to that while trying not to laugh-"Yes it does rhyme, no you don't say poo...")
