The other day Brooklyn and I got into the elevator at the mall and Brooklyn said "We are riding in the alligator." And I said "You mean the elevator?" And she said "Yeah, the alligator." It was pretty funny. (=
And then yesterday she wanted to walk when we were at the store (as usual) but she has a tendency to take off running at the first sign of a chance to get away, so we have lots of talks about her staying by mommy and not going by cars...When we were done shopping and on our way out to the car I let her help me push the shopping cart. I guess she thought I was helping her push it because she turned to me and said "Don't run away. You stay by me. Don't go by cars." And then a minute later she said "Do you want to hold my hand?" And she put her little hand in mine and "pushed" the cart with the other, just to make sure I didn't run away. That little girl just cracks me up. (=

That's cute. I'm glad you didn't run away or go near cars... good thing she was there to hold your hand :)
ReplyDeleteBridget used to call elevators alligators too. Enjoy it while it lasts. Its a little sad to realize that some of those silly things she's grown out of.
We still really need to do a play date!
Too cute!!! I love her little comments!!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny. When we went on our trip to San Diego last fall Luke called the elevator an alligator too. I love it when kids say things wrong. I don't correct Luke half the time because I know he'll figure it out soon enough and won't say it that way anymore. :)
ReplyDeleteSooo sweet !
